Well, I find myself wondering frequently when I will stop adding new blogs to my GReader. And, I probably never will, there are just always new and interesting things to learn and read about. Occasionally, I will go through and remove the blogs that just don't bring a smile to my face, are much too serious, and or much too complicated.
I read all kinds of blogs, party blogs, parenting blogs, do it yourself blogs, family blogs, life style blogs, blogs about money, having it, saving it, and even not having it and trying to get it. Couponing, discounts, thrifting you name it.
Almost always in the course of reading these blogs, I feel like I get to delve into the life of someone else, to see things through their eyes, to laugh with them, cry with them, and get another perspective.
She writes:
"Now that I feel like I have more balance in my life, I'm learning how to be more present. I am one of those people that is always looking forward to the next step, always saying "Won't life be great when..." That is so damaging! My dad once told me that the secret to happiness in life is to be conscious of what is uniquely great about your current situation and put your focus there. So right now, I am choosing to not focus on how little sleep I get, or how hard Evie's stranger danger/needy phase can be, or how much great TV I'm missing out on! The flip side is I have three fulfilling jobs that keep me happily busy and we're making it work for us."
I loved what she wrote, and I think I am going to try to look for the joy in my life as well, won't you join me...
