Twenty One Days!!

Can't believe that it has been 21 days since my last blog post.  I have no other excuse except that I have been experiencing some kind of writers block.  Really more of a mental block, with the summer being here.  I seem to be spending the majority of my time, making time for the things I have to do, that exist outside of the kids and family life.  Not leaving me much time to blog I confess.

But, here I am checking in.

My vegetable garden is thriving, I have more peppers and tomatoes than I know what to do with.  Yesterday I actually cut peppers up and froze them.  Everyday feeling more like my parents.  I also have peppermint, sweet basil and spearmint.  There really is nothing like eating things that you have grown yourself.  I had fresh veggies in my omelette on Sunday, and I plan to put some fresh veggies on the grill.

Morgan started walking I said started, because I think she stopped again.  She will take a couple of steps and then opt out and scoot instead.  I guess she feels like she can go faster that way.  So we are working with her on that.

Both girls have been sick, summer colds, and summer ear infections, Yuck!!

Tony is at Summer Camp, for what will most likely be his last year, now that he is 15.  But, we are both enjoying it while we can.  He has big plans for Learning Permits, and working next year.

Currently Reading: A Place of Yes by Bethenny Frankel.  Most people know I really love her, and reading her book, well it cements what I already thought about her from watching the show.  I know she gets a bad rap from a lot of folks.. but to those people.. I say "Walk a Mile in her Shoes", or mine for that matter lol.  She definitely is a success story.

Work is work.. doing end of fiscal year close out things right now, and getting things in order for the new year.

And, of course in the back of my mind, I am getting my list together of things the kids need for school this year.  Clothing, school supplies, etc. etc.

Well... I am signing off for now... Check in soon with more interesting things..

By the way, I am now trying my hand at the extreme couponing, dabbling some in the stock market, and just founded with some friends a Smart Money Womens Club, so I am not.. just out here.. asleep at the wheel (**Wink**)

Sorry this post is kind of hodge podge..

Monday Madness!!

It has been a busy day filled with ups and downs.  Feeling super moody today.  But, I wanted to check in and tell you about some of the amazing things I have seen on the web this week, as well as some things going on with me.

(not to mention the awesome smell that it gives a room)

On the home front school is out for everyone, so we are in camp and relaxation mode.  I have been steady looking for fun things for the kids to do to occupy their weekends, and to keep Mommy sane.  I love the summer I do, but this Georgia heat can really put a cramp in my style...

This week in my GReader...

I have always had a love for  reading and a genuine thirst for knowledge.  I am continually inspired by all of the information available on the web, and how people share their personal stories.

Here are some links to some wonderful sites I frequent, and things that made me smile.

Happy Thursday!!
